In a shocking incident, a teenage girl was allegedly raped several times in the last one month by her mother's lover in Hyderabad.
The 14-year-old was raped repeatedly by her mother's paramour at her residence in Pahadishareef, reported Telangana Today.
Inspector P Laxmikanth Reddy, the victim’s mother (35) was staying along with her daughter (14) and son (9). She had abandoned her husband and developed an illegal affair with Jayaveer(22), a daily wage labourer hailing from Madhya Pradesh.
“After leaving her husband a few months ago, she along with her children and Jayaveer went to Vijayawada and stayed there for some time,” the inspector told Telangana Today.
The woman, a native of Uttar Pradesh, developed proximity with the suspect when they worked together at a local chocolate factory a year ago.
The accused allegedly found the girl being alone at home and sexually harassed her and has since then raped her in the last one month. Reddy said the girl had not revealed her ordeal as Jayaveer threatened her with dire consequences.
The accused then started forcing her to marry him. This is when she told her mother her ordeal.
“A case was registered under relevant sections of rape under Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act,” Reddy told Telangana Today. Search is on to nab the absconding suspect.
