Negligence of doctors at King Koti hospital leads to a mother’s death

A woman after delivering a son in the King Koti Maternity Hospital was left without treatment leading to her death. The administration saw her dead one hour later and rushed her to the government Gandhi Hospital but the doctors confirmed she had died two hours ago.

This incident took place in the medical hub of Hyderabad and in a government hospital. According to reports, Tatikonda Sandhya from Turkapalli village of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District was admitted in King Koti Maternity Hospital for delivery. She gave birth to a baby boy and the doctors confirmed both the mother and baby as healthy.

But after an hour, when the hospital staff wanted to give medication to the patient they found her dead. In spite of that they immediately rushed her to Gandhi Hospital.

The relatives realised that the negligence of the hospital doctors and staff led to the death of Sandhya and protested before the hospital. Sandhya’s husband Shyam Sundar accused the hospital administration for not giving proper treatment to his wife which led to her death.
