Samsung launches new ‘Scan QR feature’ to make hassle-free payments in India

According to a press release, Samsung's R&D team created the Scan QR function exclusively for India, which is experiencing "monumental growth in Scan and Pay."


In India, Samsung has introduced a new 'Scan QR function' to make payments easier. According to the business, the Scan QR functionality allows customers to make QR code payments by accessing the camera or selecting the Scan QR code option from the Quick Panel. The new tool aligns with the company's objective of 'Cashless and Digital India,' and it is now available on Samsung Pay compatible handsets. To use the feature, users must have the most recent software. According to a press release, Samsung's R&D team created the Scan QR function exclusively for India, which is experiencing "monumental growth in Scan and Pay."

The feature's advantage is that customers will no longer need to access the payments app and may instead utilise the camera app directly, resulting in fewer steps for digital payments. The Scan QR tool can help save time spent looking for the scan feature within the app for payments. With software upgrades, the QR Scan integration is being expanded to more Galaxy devices. The Scan QR capability is now available in certain models and will be made available to additional devices via software upgrades. The Scan QR function is now available on the Galaxy Z, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Note10, Galaxy M, Galaxy A, and Galaxy F series.

To make a payment using the camera/QR Scanner in Quick Panel, make sure your phone has the most recent software update installed. After that, open the camera and scan the UPI QR code > Choose whether to pay with Samsung Pay or Samsung Pay Mini > Enter the amount and UPI PIN to complete the payment.

In other news, Google released its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones this week, both of which have their in-house Tensor processor.
