Flipkart held competitions under Big10 across the country to choose one employee who would become the CEO for a day. The competition included penning down 'why they wanted to head the company' from a office corner. Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy tweeted, "Excited to hand over the reins of @Flipkart to #CEOForADay, Padmini Pagadala!" According to the report, Pagadala's day starts with breakfast with Krishnamurthy, whom she will accompany to stakeholder meetings, and other other key meetings through the day.
It was just recently that Flipkart closed its latest funding round, which is a massive 1.4 billion from technology giants including Tencent, eBay and Microsoft. It is said to be the largest investment in Flipkart’s 10-year history as well as in India’s Internet sector.
