Google to launch three Pixel smartphones this year?

Synopsis

Google to launch three Pixel devices. All three are likely to be high-end devices.

First spotted by WinFuture, new Google's AOSP code further hint at three devices coming from the Pixel maker. If the details are to be believed than the company is not just planning three devices, but will ensure they are powerful enough to take on the likes of the galaxy S8. All three are likely to be powered by Snapdragon 835. It is currently the most powerful Qualcomm SoC.

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are reportedly codenamed Walleye and Muskie, respectively. And, the third device is internally known as Taimen. What makes it clear is the company is going for the high-end, premium market, unlike nexus.

There is no denying that the Pixel devices will be out, now it is to be seen when the company plans to launch them. It should be noted that the S8 is a stunner and Apple is also working at its biggest design overhaul with its anniversary model to be launched this year. So, it is to be seen if pixel can withstand the fierce competition.
