Jio now lets you make international calls at ₹3/minute

Synopsis

International calls are available for as low as ₹3/minute Users can avail this benefit by recharging for this pack at ₹501 Domestic calls are no longer free for Jio users

After almost eliminating roaming charges, incoming and outgoing call charges and data roaming charges Reliance Jio has once again come up with a surprise for its users by reducing international call rates as ₹3/minute. The new 'Rate Cutter Plan' is a boon for Jio users who are making international calls. 
 

Users can avail this benefit by recharging for this pack which costs ₹501.
 

The reduced rate will be applicable for calls made to countries like Hongkong, the US, Austria, Andora, Romania, Taiwan, Britain, Laksamberg, Malka, Morocco, Poland, Belgium, Brazil, New Zealand, Singapore. French Guiana, Laksamberg, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland. Calls made to Israel, France, Denmark, Argentina, Japan and South Korea will be charged at ₹4.8/minute. International call tariff is fixed at ₹13/minute for UAE and Nepal and ₹13.8/minute for Bahrain.

Domestic calls are no longer free for Jio users, and the those who failed to sign up for Jio Prime by paying ₹509 for the first recharge will no longer be able to use their sim. 
 

Last week Airtel had announced to reduce data rates, it is not yet implemented. A couple of weeks ago, Vodafone India had announced that its subscribers can enjoy free data services while travelling abroad. 
 

Analysts are of the opinion that while companies are going through a tough time, the customers are beneficiaries of ongoing battle within the industry.
