In the income tax raid carried out in the Seyadu Beedi Company, an unaccounted money Rs 3 crore has been confiscated.

A raid has been going on in 6 states including Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This includes the 40 properties of Seyadu Beedi Company. 

The raid begun at 7 am in the proprietor’s house and the offices in the presence of Central Security Forces on July 28.

In Nellai, the raid has continued in 9 places including the headquarters. The office in Chennai’s Bells Road too has been raided.

The income tax department decided to raid the offices after reports of tax evasion.
