Manchester United vs Anderlecht: Red Devils ready for the challenge - Probable lineups

Synopsis

Manchester United probably played their best football against Chelsea in their previous game.  United will come into this match with an away goal advantage.

Manchester United will square off against the Belgium side Anderlecht in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League at the Old Trafford on Thursday evening. United are coming into this fixture with an away goal advantage. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw. United dominated the game throughout but conceded in the dying minutes of the match.

By now, that is a forgotten game as Manchester United probably played their best football of the season against Chelsea on the last weekend in the Premier League at the Theatre of Dreams. If they manage to keep that form against Anderlecht as well, then the Belgium side has some real problems to deal with.

History is in United's favour as they have won all three games against Anderlecht at the Old Trafford. But still, it is not going to be a cakewalk for Jose Mourinho's side as Anderlecht have lost only once in seven European away games in the ongoing season.

Mourinho confirmed that Wayne Rooney is available for selection for this match. United's all-time goal-scorer will return to the squad after a layover he had because of his injury. However, he is likely to sit on the bench in the first half as Marcus Rashford is sure to get the nod before him because of the former's pace.

Probable lineups:

Manchester United: Romero; Valencia, Bailly, Rojo, Shaw; Carrick, Pogba; Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Martial; Zlatan.

Anderlecht: Roef; Appiah, Kara, Nuytinck, Obradovic; Dendoncker, Tielemans; Bruno, Stanciu, Acheampong; Teodorczyk.
