Serena Williams' Aussie Open secret drives Twitter crazy

Highlights
  • Serena Williams is the oldest woman to win a Grand Slam singles title.
  • Williams has held the Number 1 spot for more than 6 years in total during her talismanic career.

Believe it or not - Serena Williams was 8 weeks into her pregnancy when she defeated her elder sister Venus at the Australian Open Final earlier this year. When she confirmed her pregnancy on Snapchat, the world of Twitter went berserk and could not stop praising the World no.2.

Serena had announced her engagement to the co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, in December 2016. The superstar from the US is slated to get married to Ohanian later this year and is unlikely to return to the court before French Open 2018. Victoria Azarenka is another example who resumed her training in March after giving birth to a baby in December. However, Azarenka is eight years younger to Serena.

Serena is only second to Australia's Margaret Court on the list of women's all-time Grand Slam singles titles leaders. She is referred to as the greatest female tennis player in an Open era as well.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

Serena Williams is 20 weeks pregnant, which means she won the Australian Open while being pregnant and didn't drop a single set. The GOAT.
