WICKET! Vaibhav Arora bowls a slower leg-cutter on a good length, targeting the middle stump. Rajat Patidar plays a flat shot but hits it straight to Rinku at deep mid-wicket.

FIFTY! A full-length ball outside off stump by Harshit Rana, Virat Kohli steps forward and lofts it over the cover. He raises his bat as the crowd at Eden Gardens chants his name.

WICKET! Padikkal steps out to attack Narine but gets out. He swings hard, but the ball hits the inside of his bat and turns in his hands. Ramandeep takesan easy catch without moving.

WICKET! Varun Chakravarthy bowled a full and wide delivery outside off, making Phil Salt stretch for it. He got a thick outside edge, and Spencer Johnson took a good catch at short third man. Johnson said he briefly lost sight of the ball in the lights but managed to hold on after sliding to his left.

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru a flying start to their 175-run chase. Salt is nearing his fifty.

Kolkata Knight Riders posted a total of 174/8 in 20 overs. Ajinkya Rahane led the batting with an innings 56 off 41 balls, while Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 44 and 30, respectively. Royal Challengers Bengaluru need 175 to win.

WICKET! A fast delivery by Krunal Pandya surprised Rinku Singh and crashed into the stumps. Rinku tried to play a big pull shot but misses completely. The ball staed low and sneaks under his bat.

WICKET! Krunal Pandya bowled a flatter delivery, and Venkatesh Iyer tried to play it with his wrists but ended up dragging it onto his stumps, knocking them over.

WICKET! Rahane tried to hit a pull shot but mistimed it. The ball went flat and straight to Rasikh Salam at deep backward square leg.

WICKET! Rasikh Salam bowled a short ball outside off-stump. Narine tried to hit it hard but got an edge, and Jitesh Sharma took a good catch behind the stumps.

FIFTY! Ajinkya Rahane brings up his half-century in style. A fast and full delivery outside off by Suyash Sharma, Rahane kneels down and smashes it over mid-wicket for a huge six.

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane, with the help of Sunil Narine gave the team a flying start to their innings after an early wicket of Quinton de Kock. At the end of first powerplay, KKR were 60/1 in six overs.

He tries to play it with hard hands but without proper footwork. The ball takes a thick inside edge, and Jitesh takes a brilliant low catch, diving to his right.

As of now, there is no rain in Kolkata as the opening ceremony of the IPL 2025 took place without any interruption of showers. As per AccuWeather, there is only 55% of chances of rain. The chances of rain playing spoilsport is just 20-30%. Currently, the temperature in Kolkata is 26 degree celcius.
