Early on Wednesday Swamy - known of his infamous Twitter remarks - raked up yet another controversy when claimed that popular Kerala singer, KJ Yesudas, has converted to Hinduism.

Yesudas, who was born in a Roman Catholic family, is known to be an ardent follower of Lord Krishna and Ayyappa who visits Mookambika and Sabrimala temples regularly

In his tweet Swamy said:

"Let us all Virat Hindus welcome the twitter news, if true, that famous singer Yesudas has returned to the religion of hisHindu  ancestors."

His tweet soon made headlines and shocked his fans until Prabha Yesudas, the legendary singer's wife put all rumours to rest when she denied the news to the media.

“I do not know how this news has come and it’s not true,” Prabha told a local TV channel.

Swamy then took to Twitter again to clarify his earlier statement and said:

On Yesudas I was only re tweeting a news that he had converted and said if true he is welcome. Media hungry for my tweets twisted it

Yesudas has sung more than 45,000 film songs in 14 languages. Despite having sung several worship songs of lord Guruvayoorapan he still is not allowed entry into the Sree Krishna temple at Guruvayoor as he is a non-Hindu.
