Transfer bungle: 13 policemen left in the lurch by Lokayukta

Synopsis

It looks like the Karnataka police department is unable to get anything done right these days. After being handed over their transfer orders, 13 Lokayukta police inspectors have been left in the lurch as the department hasn't initiated their transfer process yet.

When these officers make an attempt to enquire about their transfer orders, they are told to approach the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), who in turn directs them to the Registrar.

As per the Karnataka High Court directive, the police inspectors have been issued their transfer orders. However, the Lokayukta department hasn't relieved these officers of their duties.
