Synopsis

Pulsar Suni and two other accused have filed for anticipatory bail on Monday, February 20. Pulsar Suni, Manikandan and VP Vigeesh met the advocate in person on the night of February 18. The accused have pleaded innocent on their bail applications.

The main accused in the actress’ abduction and assault case is still out at large and is a repeated offender who has several cases pending against him in different police stations. There is also verbal testimonial about his criminal behaviour by film industry insiders yet police has not been able to nab him.

However, three days after the incident and while in hiding, Pulsar Suni managed to meet his advocate in person who filed an anticipatory bail application in the Kerala High Court on Pulsar Suni’s behalf.

Apart from the main accused, the same lawyer also filed bail pleas on behalf of Manikandan and VP Vigeesh, the other accused in the case. As of now, Manikandan has been arrested and rest two are still in hiding.

Advocate EC Poulose has stated that all three of them have approached him in person on Saturday, February 18, and requested him to file anticipatory bails. According to a report, the advocate confirmed that the accused met him within 24 hours after the incident.

Quoting the advocate, the report stated that all the accused have handed over their passports, mobile phones, and identity proofs which the lawyer produced at magistrate court of Aluva. He also confirmed that he is the regular advocate of Pulsar Suni who looks after his other pending cases, however, while taking up the recent case he was not aware of the nature of the kidnapping and assault.

The police have slapped 8 sections against all three of the accused, and in their bail applications they have pleaded innocent and that the section 376 of IPC has unnecessarily been levied on them.
