Sasikala's proxy, Edappadi Palanisamy took oath as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister at 4.30 PM on Thursday. 

Earlier, the Madras High Court had rejected the plea to stay the swearing in of Edappadi Palanisamy as the Chief Minister. With hurdles cleared, Palanisami became the third chief minister of the state in two months.

MK Stalin, Youth President of the DMK party has expressed disappointment over Governor’s decision of inviting Palanisamy to form a government. Both camps should be allowed to prove majority, he said.
