After 'Kathakali', another Malayalam movie is facing difficulty in getting certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The CBFC regional head Dr A Pratibha, in a letter to the makers of the movie Ka Bodyscapes, has cited 'offending content' as the reason behind the refusal of a certificate.

The letter says the entire content of the movie is "ridiculing, insulting and humiliating Hindu religion and gods".

The film revolves around the lives of two gay lovers and their friend. The CBFC slammed the film for 'offending human sensibilities' by 'vulgarity, obscenity and depravity'. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Jayan Cherian, the New York- based director of the film, said "This is a bizarre attack on creative freedom and sexual minorities."

Last month, the CBFC had asked Sijo Kannanaikkal, director of the movie 'Kathakali' to chop off the climax scene for 'nudity'.

'Ka Body Scapes' is the second movie from Cherian that is facing the fury of the CBFC. 'Papilio Buddha', the debut movie of Cherian on discrimination against Dalits, was also objected by the board due to certain dialogues disrespecting Mahatma Gandhi and visuals of an extreme torture of a woman.
