Synopsis

Karnataka state government has issued a circular on Dasara Holidays This time schools will get holidays from October 8 to 23 only Government had issued nine holidays due to bandh

 

Speaking to Suvarna News, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait said that the bandhs had severely affected the schools, as the syllabus has not been completed by teachers.

 

“We have already declared nine days of holidays following the bandh. So, teachers have not been able to complete their syllabus. We had earlier decided to declare Dasara holidays from October 8 to 27. But now, the government has taken the decision to give Dasara holidays from October 8 to 23,” Minister Tanveer Sait said.

 

“Some schools have been functioning full day on Saturday to make up for the loss of working days. Despite this, four days of Dasara holidays will be cut short, and schools will start functioning on October 23,” he clarified.
