Eight students killed in bus-passenger vehicle collision

Synopsis

More than five girls are said to be in critical condition and are being treated at the nearby government hospital. The accident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday.

 

The diseased have been identified as Jayashree, Sunitha, Santhi, Shwetha and Shruthi, all from Siruguppa in Bellary. The identity of two victims is yet to be ascertained. The victims are the inmates of BCM hostel in Bellary and were returning to Bellary after attending a job interview in Bengaluru. The bus was bound to Bengaluru.

 

 

It looks like the rash driving of the private passenger vehicle is the reason for the collision, said police sources.
