Four dead after container truck topples over car in Kerala

Synopsis

Four persons were killed and four others injured in an accident on the the National Highway at Edarikode in Kottakkal, Malappuram district after a container truck toppled over car at around 2.30 am on Saturday.  

 

The deceased are identified as Shamseer, his brother Parvesh and brother in law Naufal, all hailing from Chokli in Thalassery, Kannur. Shamseer, a native of Thalassery was also killed in the accident. Condition of Mahroof, one of the injured, is critical. All the four victims died on the spot. They were heading to Nedumbassery in Ernakulam .

 

The truck driver, apparently lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve at Klari Camp in Edarikode and fell over the car which was trying to overtake the vehicle, according to the police.
