Bengaluru: Helpline launched for women travelling in autos

Synopsis

The police in Bengaluru have found a way to make auto travel a little safer for women, via a helpline.

Bengaluru police have launched two numbers where women can alert the department in case of any problems created by auto rickshaw drivers.

The numbers are - 7026808205 or 7026808206.

Just give a missed call to one of the above numbers, if you are facing any problem by the driver of an auto rickshaw and the help will be sent in no time, claim the police department.

You will get a callback, and you can provide details (name and code number) of the driver, which is pasted on the back of the driver’s seat.

These two numbers belong to a call centre, which will immediately forward the call to the police department, who will take due action based on the complaint.
