JD(S) President HD Kumaraswamy was met with empty chairs at a convention organised by Athani taluk's JD(S) party members in Belagavi. HD Kumaraswamy was visiting the taluk for a Kumara Parva celebration. The party members were asked to occupy the chairs and make it look like there were more people than those who actually attended the convention.
