Saudi grants 90-day amnesty to residency, labour violaters

The amnesty covers those who overstayed their Haj or Umrah visit visa Travel permits will be issued for those with no residence or work permits
Touted as A Nation Without Violations, the campaign urges violators to make use of the grace period and correct their status.
The amnesty period will come to effect on March 29. Sanctions will be levied against violators who remain in the country after it passes.
The amnesty covers those who overstayed their Haj or Umrah visit visa. They must visit the nearest passport department to complete the procedures.
Travel permits will be issued for those with no residence or work permits who infiltrated the borders illegally.
The development comes after Crown prince Mohammed bin Naif asked the authorities to facilitate procedures for violators to leave the country soon and relieve them from penalties.
Saudi had launched a similar campaign three years ago with around 2.5 million people departing the country.
