  • Chinese wedding rituals allow men to misbehave with brides, grooms and bridesmaids

For Chinese brides and grooms, their wedding day can literally become the scariest day of the their lives.

One of the most common tradition seen at Chinese weddings is 'naohun' which translates to turbulence at weddings. As many as 80% people who tie the knot in China become a victim of this tradition which permits people attending the wedding to do any sort of pranks with the bride, groom and the bridesmaid.

Bridesmaids are often groped and assaulted in the name of this tradition. In fact, the fear of falling prey to such pranks is so haunting that often professional bridesmaids are hired for weddings.

The grooms are not spared either. While some are sprayed with powders many are pushed and pulled.

Bridesmaids are groped by men, asked to remove their clothes; sometimes even raw eggs are thrown at them. Humiliated college students or professional bridesmaids who attend the waiting often leave without asking for money.
