Where is missing Jesna? In Bangalore, Kerala or Chennai?

According top reports, on March 21, she had told her aunt Sisily that she would be visiting her the next day. She started for her  aun'ts house but did not reach there nor has been found ever  since.


Jesna Maria James, a native of Ranni in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala who was pursuing her second-year degree at a college in Kanjirapally in Kottayam district went missing on March 22.  According to top reports, on March 21, she had told her aunt Sisily that she would be visiting her the next day. She started for her aunt's house but did not reach there nor has been found ever since.

Meanwhile, there were rumours that the missing Jesna had allegedly arrived in Chennai on March 26. A girl who looked like Jesna was spotted in Ayanavaram in Periyar Nagar in a telephone booth. A Malayalam-speaking person had filed a complaint in this regard with the Kerala Police. Alex, a resident of Kollam has claimed to have seen a girl like Jesna on March 26. When Alex stood by the shop, the girl telephoned someone and asked Alex the route to Periyar Nagar.

It is not known whether she spoke in Tamil or Malayalam on the phone. But she asked for the route in Tamil. There were eyeglasses on the face. Alex does not remember her dress but feels it is the same girl whose photo was circulating as Jesna. 

Later he went to Periyar Nagar and searched for Jesna but did not get any information. Kerala police are investigating the matter. After the reward is announced, many fake calls also have been received by the police. 

Some reports have surfaced that a woman who looked similar to Jesna was spotted in Bengaluru with a Malayalam-speaking youth. It is being said that the couple reached Bengaluru via Sengottai in Tamil Nadu and had taken medical treatment at NIMHANS as they had met with an accident on the way. 

CCTV visuals of the hospital would be examined to draw conclusions on the report. The Bengaluru police, who were assigned with the task of tracing her after reports of her being spotted in the city surfaced, could not find any image matching hers in the CCTV visuals.

Kerala police searched for Jesna in forest areas in Idukki. A search operation was also carried on around Ponthan River, Kannimala, Kolahalamedu, Mundakayam, 27th Mile, Paranthumpara, Mathaiakka, Curakanaanam, Panchalimedu and Madamkulam by a total of 400 police personnel, including senior officials from Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Kottayam districts.
