Babitha, who has been bedridden for around three years due to a tumour in her utreus, was carried by the police out of the house on her bed on Sunday.
The woman and her 14-year-old daughter Saiba, who have no other shelter or property, have been shifted to the Kanjirappally general hospital.
After Babitha's husband Shanavas died three years ago, his mother wrote off the rights to the house to his brother, who asked Babitha and Saiba to leave the house. Though they refused to do so, a court ruling in September 2014 asked them to evict the house. An appeal they filed to the Pala sub court was also rejected.
Before evacuating them, the police had submitted a report to the court, explaining the situation.
