The Kodungallur police has registered a case against four RSS workers for attacking Yura Morcha's district leader Aneesh Ponath Aneesh alleged that he was attacked for Facebook posts about the medical bribery scam and also for comments criticising the BJP

A Yuva Morcha leader was hacked by RSS activists in Thrissur on Tuesday for allegedly making Facebook posts criticising BJP and its state president Kummanam Rajasekharan.

The Kodungallur police has registered a case against four RSS workers for attacking Yura Morcha's district committee member Aneesh Ponath.

Aneesh revealed that the attack happened at 9 pm on Tuesday when he was leaving the Kodungallur Bhagavati temple. Around 30 RSS activists from the nearby Sangh Shakha approached him with weapons and assaulted him, he said.

Aneesh alleged that he was attacked for making Facebook posts about the medical bribery scam, involving senior BJP leaders, and also for comments criticising the RSS and Kummanam.

The Kodungallur police has booked RSS activists Akhil, Rajesh, Anish and Jemy in connection with the incident. Probe is on to find the rest of the accused in the attack.
