A fire has been reported at Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Temple. According to reports, the fire broke out at the Western entrance of the temple.

The fire spread while lighting camphor at the entrance and authorities managed to bring it under control immediately. However, it is not known whether it was an accident or someone was involved in the incident.

In June, the newly installed golden mast at the temple had been damaged by some devotees by allegedly pouring mercury. The police arrested three Andhra Pradesh natives and on inquiry it was found that they did so as part of their ritual.

Here's the CCTV footage showing three persons pouring some liquid on the mast.
