Actor and Kollam MLA Mukesh, in his statement to the police, admitted that he knew Pulsar Suni very well. 

Mukesh told the police that Suni was his driver for almost a year and everyone in his family knew him. The actor said Suni became his driver through a private agency in Ernakulam on a daily wage basis but was later appointed on a monthly salary.

Suni is the prime accused in the Kochi actress attack case, in which actor Dileep has also been arrested on charges of conspiracy.

The police registered Mukesh's statement on Monday at the MLA hostel in the state capital. Officers of the investigating team, which including CI, questioned the actor-turned-politician with a set of prepared questions for more than an hour.

However, Mukesh reiterated that he was unaware of Suni's criminal background. He also said that he got to know about the actress attack case only through the media, like others.

The police also questioned Aluva MLA Anwar Sadath, who was a close friend of Dileep. 

Sadath said the preobe team asked him about his friendship, meetings, phone conversations, foreign trips and financial transactions with Dileep. However, the politician stressed that he doesn’t know Suni.
