Madani arrives in Thalassery to attend son’s wedding amid tight security

The Kannur police has arranged tight security for Madani, while the town will also be under close monitoring  The wedding ceremony of Madani's elder son Umar Mukhtar will take place at 12 noon at the Thalassery town hall Madani was permitted by the NIA court and the Supreme Court to visit his ailing parents and attend son's wedding 

PDP chairman and Bengaluru serial blasts accused Abdul Nasser Madani reached Thalassery on Wednesday to attend his son's wedding. 

The Kannur police has arranged tight security for Madani, while the town will also be under close monitoring of shadow police till he leaves. DySP Prince Abraham is in charge of the security arrangements.

The bomb squad had inspected the Thalassery railway station on Tuesday night, ahead of his arrival. Dozens of people had gathered at station to greet the PDP leader.

The wedding ceremony of Madani's elder son Umar Mukhtar will take place at 12 noon at the Thalassery town hall. He will leave for the bride's house at 4 pm to take part in the reception. 

Karnataka government slashes security expenses for Madani's Kerala visit

It is understood that he will travel to Kozhikode by road from there. There is another reception scheduled for August 12 in Kollam. Madani will return to Bengaluru on August 19.

Madani was permitted by the NIA court and the Supreme Court to visit his ailing parents and attend son's wedding. He had visited Kerala on three previous occasions between 2013 and 2016.
