In a shocking incident, a Kerala man was beaten to death at in broad daylight in Pune on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Aziz (56), who hails from Peralasseri in Kannur. He was running a hotel at the Khed Shivapur in Pune.
On Wednesday morning, a dispute broke out between Aziz and Sanjay Konde, the owner of the land where the hotel stands. The situation heated up and Konde brutally beat up Aziz till he fell unconsious.
Though Aziz was rushed to a hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. His body has been sent to his hometown in Kannur after a post-mortem conducted at the Sassoon General Hospital in Pune.
Aziz was running a hotel called Sagar at Khed Shivapur for the past 46 years. He is survived by his wife Najma and children Raiz, Rameez, Najeera and Raheena. The family claimed that Konde had threatened Aziz several times before as well.
