Synopsis

Supreme Court told Madani to bear the expense of his security Following this, Madani decided to cancel his visit on August 1 Kerala CM wrote Karnataka CM that it will take care of security in the state

Abdul Nasser Madani, the accused in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts, has decided to stall his trip to Kerala as he won't be able to bear the expense for his security. Meanwhile, Kerala Chief Minister wrote Karnataka government that it is ready to take charge of his security once he reaches the state. 

The Supreme Court had allowed the PDP leader to visit Kerala to attend his son's wedding. However, the court also directed that he should bear the security expenses on his own. 

The security expense alone will cost over ₹15 lakh.

Following this, Madani decided to cancel his trip to the state also asked PDP cadres to draw the attention of Kerala CM to his plight. Following this, PDP leaders approached Pinarayi Vijayan, and he agreed to write to Karnataka government. 

There are reports that Madani might once again approach Supreme Court requesting Karnataka state to bear the security cost.

The 2008 blast case accused was at first granted parole for ten days, and he moved apex court seeking an extension for four days, which the court granted. He is the accused in the Bengaluru serial blasts that killed one and injured 20 persons.
