Dileep arrest: Actor remanded to police custody for two days

UPDATE:

Angamaly Judicial First Class Magistrate court sent actor Dileep to two days police custody. He is named 11th accused in actress abduction case and is facing conspiracy charges. The court did not consider his bail plea. 

The actor will again be produced in court on Friday and then his bail plea will be considered in open court. 

As the actor was being led out of the court, the crowds began booing and a sombre looking Dileep can be seen flanked by the police. 

Police have confirmed that he will be taken to the Aluva Police Club where he will be questioned. Other evidence required for the investigation have been brought to the place. Dileep may be taken to the Ernakulam hotel room in one of these two days, to establish the plot line and the sequence of events that led to conspiracy.

Now the police are suspecting whether the 'madam' being referred to is fake. They suspect that it was a trope used to just divert the investigation. 

Police will be investigating his connection with the real estate deals, and the actor's wealth will be probed further. It is speculated that Pulsar Suni had transferred the incriminating visuals to  a laptop and various other phones. So it is suspected that the accused wanted to make sure the visuals were safe somewhere even if he were to be caught. 

Now the bail plea is being heard since the custody has already been granted this could just be a mere process. Advocate Ramkumar says Dileep was just a complainant in this case and he has now been framed as an accused. Police are trying to remove the public gathered at the court. There was a lot of booing and catcalling when the actor was brought to court, so police are preparing for any unpleasant situation. 

Curious fans and other public were seen  standing on the roof tops, and trying to enter the court compound, to catch a glimpse of the actor and so the riot police has been employed at court. Dileep has reached the Angamaly Cour, where the case was heard and he has now been remanded to police custody. 

Today his bail plea and the police’s request for custody was heard. Police sought for three days custody and were granted two days. In conspiracy cases, evidence can be eliminated and so investigation can be hampered so the court might help the police in this instance, it is speculated.

At 11am the first case that was heard today in the Angamaly court was Dileep’s. The actor will be taken to the Aluva Police Club now for further questioning. 

Till now police are on the hunt for the most crucial piece of evidence which is Pulsar Suni’s phone. It contains the actress’ assault visuals. Police, with this extended custody of the actor is seeking get to the bottom of this case and find out who all were the co-conspirators. Police has to find out whether Dileep has a hand in destroying the evidence and if proved, he will be held accountable for that as well. 

Discussions are rife in every Kerala household as to how a colleague could give quotation against an actress to have her molested. Nadhirshah and Dileep’s manager Appunni, and Dileep’s brother are expected to be questioned further in the case. They will be questioned to understand how much they knew about the whole conspiracy and whether they had in any role in hiding the evidence

Interestingly, now actor and MLA Mukesh’s name is doing the rounds in this investigation. So how is Mukesh coming into the picture?

Police is investigating the fact that Mukesh only introduced Sunil Kumar to Dileep. Pulsar Suni was Mukesh’s driver for some time and so they will take his statement as well. He will not be investigated as part of the conspiracy.

Police will also question Dileep's younger brother after reports that Pulsar Suni handed over the letter to him. The officials have confirmed that Anoop had contacted Suni's co-prisoner Vishnu. 

There are indications that Dileep's close friend and director Nadirshah and actor's manager Appunni will be named accused in the case. Police is likely to question the duo again. 

Enforcement Directorate is likely to probe into the financial deals of actor Dileep. The authority is likely to probe his real estate and theatre deals, business relations and financial sources. The bank accounts of the actor will be frozen as part of investigation. 

There are reports that the police have received important leads into the business and financial deals of the actor. It is learned that the investigation agency got information about Dileep's connections with a black money racket based in Dubai. Overseas stage shows conducted by actor will also come under the radar. 

Police doubt that the attack against actress was not merely based on personal vengeance but there have been some financial motives behind the move.
