Land grab row: Probe ordered against Dileep's D Cinemaas

Synopsis

Dileep allegedly encroached government land to build D Cinemaas, his theatre complex in Chalakudy Reports claim the actor encroached one acre of land by producing fake documents, back in 2005 Dileep is currently under judicial custody in the Kochi actress attack case. He was denied bail earlier today 

Kerala revenue ministry has ordered an investigation into allegations of land grab against actor Dileep after complaints that the actor had encroached government property to build D Cinemaas, his theatre complex in Chalakudy near Thrissur.

Minister E Chandrasekharan ordered a probe the incident on Saturday. The Thrissur district collector has been put in charge of the investigation. It has been alleged that Dileep had encroached one acre of government land by producing fake documents in 2005 to set up D Cinemaas in Chalakudy. 

Dileep is currently under judicial custody in the Kochi actress attack case. He was denied bail earlier today and has been remanded till July 25.

Earlier, the Kerala High Court had ordered the state government to probe the same complaint. In the investigation that followed, the district collector had come up with a report favouring Dileep. Some reports claim that the report was influenced by an incumbent minister who tried to protect the actor.

Dileep was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the actress attack case on Monday.
