Two persons died after consuming spurious liquor at Kunnamangalam near Kozhikode on Saturday, while two others are in a serious condition at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
The deceased, identified as Balan (54) and Sandeep (37), consumed spurious liquor on Friday night along with four others after work, according to the Kunnamangalam police.
All six persons were rushed to Medical College after they complained of uneasiness. Balan died on the way to the hospital and Sandeep lost his life on Saturday morning after being admitted.
Two persons, who are in serious condition, are undergoing treatment at the KMCH, while two others have been discharged after treatment.
Sandeep, who was working as a security personnel at a private hospital, had brought the liquor. The police said investigations are on.
