Setback for Kerala govt as Supreme Court fixes Rs 11 lakh as medical fee

The Supreme Court, in an interim order last month, had allowed self-financing medical colleges in Kerala to charge students Rs 11 lakh as the annual fee. The amount is split as a base fee of Rs 5 lakh during admission and bank guarantees for Rs 6 lakh to be paid in 15 days’ time.
