A 60-year-old foreigner, a top executive at an Indo-Singapore joint venture firm, has been booked for an alleged unnatural sexual attack on a cab driver at a hotel near the Nedumbassery airport in Kochi.

The police said a lookout notice has been issued against the man, executive Vice President of the company handling ground services at Thiruvananthapuram airport, on the basis of the driver's complaint. The man had allegedly left the country after the incident.

The incident happened back in September. The police said the victim, who was traumatised, filed the petition with police only on March 22, as he had suffered depression and mental agony after the incident. A company official said police had informed them about the incident.

The FIR, which did not mention the man's nationality, said the official allegedly beat up the driver and threatened to kill him if he disclosed the matter to others.

The police said the official was booked under IPC Sections 377 (Unnatural offences), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation).

The police have seized his hotel bill and a copy of his passport, among other things. They said a lookout circular has been issued to detain him in airports as he needs to be questioned.
