The investigation into the sensational Kochi actress attack case took yet another decisive turn on Monday, with the police planning to question Dileep, Nadirshah and Kavya Madhavan’s mother soon.
The police will question Shyamala Madhavan on the basis of new scientific evidence obtained in connection with the case. Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had earlier said that he left the memory card containing visuals of him harassing the actress at the office of Laksyah - an online clothing store owned by Kavya - near Kakkanad, which the police raided on Friday.
Though Kavya owns Laksyah, Shyamala has been in charge of the office and other management related duties. Also there have been reports that a mystery woman is connected with the case, whom the accused and their aides refer to as 'madam'.
Actress attack: Pulsar Suni called Nadirshah 3 times from jail
The probe team had invited actor Dileep and director Nadirshah to the Aluva police club on Wednesday, which turned out to be a marathon 13-hour grilling session. But it is understood that the duo will be questioned again after the new revelations in the case and also due to some contradictions in the statements previously given by them.
Earlier today, the police found out that Suni had called Nadirshah three times while he was lodged at the Kakkanad district jail. However, Nadirshah had told the probe team that he did not know Suni before.
Actress attack: Police recover visuals Suni recorded, crucial arrest soon
On Sunday, the police also acquired photographic evidence that Suni was present at the shooting locations of Dileep's "Georgettan's Pooram" a few months before the actress was attacked.
The attack happened on February 17, after the young actress, popular across South Indian industries, was kidnapped while she was travelling from Thrissur to Kochi. The actress was allegedly molested during the abduction.
