The Kerala High Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on the bail plea of actor Dileep, who was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the Kochi actress attack case.
Both parties presented their arguments before the court decided to reserve the verdict. The prosecution argued that Dileep should not be granted bail as he was involved in the first quotation-rape case in the country.

In the case diary, the prosecution maintained that Dileep masterminded the attack. The police also claimed that they have solid evidence proving the actor's involvement in the case and added that there will be more arrests soon.
The bail plea, on the other hand, pointed out that Dileep was arrested based only on the statement of Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case. It also stressed that Dileep was not an accused when the final probe report was submitted in April.

Senior lawyer Ram Kumar, who represents Dileep, requested the court to grant bail to the actor as the evidence collection process was over. He said that Dileep had been questioned by the police for several hours and hence there is no need for him to continue in jail.
The defence also argued that even Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said there was no conspiracy behind the attack, and that some people are conspiring to destroy his the actor's career.
