The police team investigating the sensational Kochi actress attack case is on the hunt for Dileep's manager Appunni, who is reportedly absconding.

The probe team has been trying to get in touch with Appunni on the several phone numbers he has but all of them are switched off, according to various reports. Even his family and close friends claim they are unaware of his current whereabouts.

It is understood that Appunni went missing soon after Dileep was arrested on Monday. Recent reports had suggested that the police were planning to arrest Appunni too in connection with the case. 

The remand report mentions Appunni's role in the attack. Appunni is known to have acted as a link for communication between Dileep and the  main accused Pulsar Suni during the time of the incident.

Dileep had filed a complaint to the police, stating Suni and his aides called up Appunni and director Nadirshah to blackmail him. Also a phone conversation between Appunni and Suni, which was made when the latter was in jail, was leaked to the media recently and went viral on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, reports on Wednesday suggested that actress and Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan and his daughter Manju Warrier are also missing.
