Kalyani Priyadarshan, the daughter of popular director Priyadarshan and actor Lissy, is all set to make her acting debut. The untitled Telugu flick will be directed by Vikram Kumar, and she will be seen opposite Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni in the lead role.
Priyadarshan confirmed about the entry of her daughter in a recent interview and said that it was Nagarjuna who helped him during a crisis. The director had once even thought about quitting films, and the Telugu superstar persuaded him for a comeback.
Now it is the same star who is launching her daughter as a heroine and Priyan is very grateful to Nagarjuna for that, Manorama reports.
While talking about her film aspirations, Kalyani said that she took the decision to act after much thought. The actress feels that she has a strong mind and can face criticisms.
Speaking about her favourite persons, Kalyani said that she is very close to Pranav Mohanlal, who is a hero in her family circle. "He is very polite and can live with a single jeans and t-shirt," she said.
Kalyani also said that they laughed at the gossips about their love affair and he is a friend and brother to her.
