Body double case: Police approach CBFC for censor copy of 'Honey Bee 2' after actress' complaint

The police have now approached the CBFC, seeking the original copy of Honey Bee 2 submitted before the censor board The move comes after preliminary investigation suggested that the filmmakers resorted to use of a body double to shoot a scene The probe team has recorded the statement of a makeup man associated with the film and he confirmed there were some issues

The police have collected more evidence against director Jean Paul Lal in connection with the use of a body double in his film Honey Bee 2, on a complaint by a young actress who worked in the film. 

The probe team has now approached the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), seeking the original copy of Honey Bee 2 submitted before the censor board. The move comes after preliminary investigation suggested that the filmmakers resorted to use of a body double to shoot a scene.

The probe team has already recorded the statement of a makeup man associated with the film and he confirmed there were some issues during the shoot.

The young actress had lodged a complaint saying the filmmakers used another woman to shoot bold scenes involving her character without her knowledge.

Earlier, the actress had lodged a complaint with the Kochi city police commissioner, saying the promised amount of Rs 50,000 was not paid to her and that Jean Paul made lewd comments when she asked for remuneration. 

The police have already registered a case against Jean Paul for cheating and outraging the modesty of a woman on the complaint. Besides Jean Paul, actor Sreenath Bhasi and two technicians identified as Anoop and Anirudh, have been arraigned as accused in the case.
