District survey superintendent, who inquired into the allegation that D-Cinemaas, the multiplex owned by actor Dileep was on encroached land, submitted its report. The officer has found that the actor did not invade government land.
The report comes as a relief to the actor who is spending days in jail as the High Court is yet to decide on his bail plea. The report submitted by superintendent states that the actor did not encroach government land or poramboke land. The extra land possessed by Dileep is owned by a private temple.
The report also states that Dileep only has one-and-a-half cents of extra land in his possession. The superintendent has submitted the report to District Collector.
There were allegations that the theatre complex was built on encroached land and that the actor does not have necessary documents to prove his ownership and possession.
Following this Chalakkudy municipal corporation decided to shut down the complex.
Dileep's brother Anoop then approached High Court and got a favourable verdict by which he was allowed to open the theatre complex.
