Actor Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the Kochi actress attack case, has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody and imprisoned in the Aluva sub-jail.
Dileep was produced before the Angamaly magistrate’s residence at 6.45 am on Tuesday. The police submitted 19 pieces of evidence against the actor before the court. The 48-year-old actor has been accused of conspiracy and was charged under IPC section 120B.

The proceedings got over within half-an-hour and magistrate Leena Riyaz remanded him to 14 day's judicial custody. Speaking to mediapersons outside the magistrate’s residence, Dileep said that the accusations against him were false.
"I was framed and I will prove my innocence," Dileep said.
Dileep was taken to the Aluva sub-jail by 7.30 am. A huge posse of policemen were deployed before the jail to control the unruly crowd, who booed and shouted slogans against the actor as he was taken in.

Dileep has moved a bail application, which will be considered on Tuesday. Advocate Ramkumar will appear for the actor. The police will seek his custody on Wednesday.
It is understood that Dileep gave a ‘quotation’ of Rs 1.5 crore to Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, to attack the actress.
