Synopsis

Four persons, including a Keralite, lost their lives after land caved in at a construction site The deceased have been identified as Unnikrishnan, Harnad, Bhoja and Safan Sudarshan, who hails from Vengode, was injured after being trapped under the landslip

In a tragic incident, four persons, including a Keralite, lost their lives after land caved in at a construction site at Pangappara near Thiruvananthapuram on Monday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Vengode native Unnikrishnan, Bihar native Harnad Burman and West Bengal natives Bhoja and Safan. 

Sudarshan, who also hails from Vengode, was severely injured after being trapped under the landslip. Local residents and fire and rescue services personnel managed to rescue Sudarshan and shifted him to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

The tragedy occurred as land caved in on a plot where a flat was being constructed. Majority of the labourers at the spot were from other states.
