The parents of a Class X student has filed the police complaint against a school headmaster for allegedly mentally harassing a tenth-class student. The accused is the headmaster of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School in Thiruvambady, Kozhikode.

The student fainted after coming back home from school. It was only after parents took him to the hospital did they come to know about the mental trauma faced by their son.

The Class X student had not attended the special class held in the school the other day. He returned home as he was told on reaching school by his classmates that the class had been cancelled.

When the boy reached school the next day, his class teacher said to him to meet the headmaster. As punishment, the headmaster asked him to stand outside the class for the whole day. It is alleged that the headmaster did not allow the boy to drink water or go to the toilet. The boy collapsed on reaching home and was admitted to hospital.

On examination, the boy told doctors about the cruel treatment meted out in the school. Police have registered a criminal case against the teacher based on a complaint filed by the parents.
