Kerala police have registered a case against former DGP T P Senkumar for allegedly producing fake medical documents to avail leave. It was alleged that the officer used a fake medical document to draw eight months salary, the period during which he took sick leave.
He was booked under non-bailable sections and hence will have to face procedures including arrest. It is alleged that the former police chief availed ₹8 lakh from the government by submitting fake medical certificates which he used to get medical leave for the period. The case is that he converted half-pay leave into full pay leave using this certificate.
It was after a vigilance inquiry that the case was registered against him. The probe was launched under the directive of Chief Secretary Nalini Netto.
However, Senkumar said that he just converted his half-pay leave to medical leave.
