CPM leader Prakash Karat on Friday accused the BJP of inciting violence in Kerala in the name of 'jana raksha yatra' and said such tactics will not work in the state.
"They have every right to conduct any political campaign or agitation, we have no problem with that. But this yatra is designed to incite violence, anger and hatred against CPM in the state. Such tactics are not going to work in Kerala," an ANI report quoted Karat as saying.

Taking a dig at BJP chief Amit Shah for skipping the much-awaited leg of the rally through Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan's hometown in Kannur on Thursday, Karat said, "Shah's absence shows that the yatra is a flop and is not getting any support in Kerala."
Shah had launched the jana raksha yatra in Kannur's Payyanur on Tuesday to create awareness against "red terrorism" and the alleged political killings under the CPM-led government in the state.

As a response to the BJP's rally in Kerala, the CPM said that it will launch a nationwide protest against the BJP on October 9.
