The police team, investigating the actress attack case, on Friday questioned Pulsar Suni and two of his cellmates in an incident related to sneaking a mobile phone into jail and making calls from them.

A team led by CI Radhamani PK brought Pulsar Suni, Vipinlal, Vishnu to the Infopark police station in Kakkanad and questioned them together about the incidents which happened at the Kakkanad district jail.

When quizzed Vipinlal said that both jail authorities and Suni forced him to write the letter to Dileep. The probe team had earlier found that the handwriting in the letter was Vipinlal's and not Suni's. The letter, addressed to Dileep and signed by Suni, asking for money was considered crucial to the probe so far.

After the letter emerged, the probe team grilled Dileep and his close friend and director Nadirshah for 13 hours at the Aluva police club last week.

Meanwhile, the court on Friday rejected a plea from Suni's counsel to end his police custody after dismissing their claim that Suni was tortured by the police. The court also allowed the police the custody of Vipinlal and Vishnu.

Speaking to mediapersons outside the court, Vishnu said Suni's claim that "big sharks are involved in the incident" was true. But when asked about if he meant actor Dileep, Vishnu said, "Might be or might not be, I don't know."

Earlier, the police had found that the mobile phone Suni used inside the Kakkanad jail was stolen from Coimbatore. The police sought Suni's custody for 10 days to take him to Coimbatore for evidence collection, though the court granted them only five days.
