Actress attack: Malayalam actor Dileep arrested

Synopsis

Dileep was arrested after police got fresh evidence against him  He was under police custody from Monday morning Chief Minister's office confirmed his arrest

Malayalam actor Dileep was arrested after Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing actress attack received new evidence in the case.

According to reports he was called to Aluva Police Club on Monday morning. The police confirmed his arrest at 6.30 pm.

The Chief Minister's office has confirmed his arrest. Police sources reported that they got evidence of his role in the conspiracy that led to the attack and abuse of the actress. 

SIT had questioned him and his friend and director Nadirshah for 13 hours. According to video footage of the arrest a smiling Dileep was seen going in a police Scorpio vehicle. The actor seemed unfazed with all the media milling around him. 

However, the family in the actress in question has refused to make any statement in the issue. 

Meanwhile, there are reports that director Nadirshah, who is also a close friend of Dileep is also under police custody. However, his arrest had not been reported.
