Dileep, in his petition, had sought visuals of the attack, claiming it is entitled to him as an accused. The actor had sought to halt the trial until the court passes the judgement over his petition.

Earlier, the actor had filed a petition in the Angamaly magistrate court, seeking for the visuals. But the court rejected Dileep's petition, saying there are chances of the visuals being misused if it is handed over to the accused.

However, Dileep later approached the High Court asking for the visuals of the attack. As per CrPC section 207, the accused is entitled to have access to all documents related to the case against him/her.
