Synopsis

Images of huge money kept in cupboards and bags splashed across media claiming it to be DK Shivakumar's However, now it turns out that it's a fake video taken last year during the raid on a firm A journalist had posted this video on his Twitter handle and soon went viral

After pictures of huge cash stashed in cupboard and some bag were splashed - during the raid on Energy minister DK Shivakumar - certain mediahouses did not blink before claiming that the money belonged to minister Shivakumar and it was found at his Delhi residence. The video was also circulated everywhere. But  now it turns out that it is a fake video.

Yes, that's right. The video which allegedly showed 'proof of money hoarding' from the minister's house was actually taken during the Income Tax raid on T&T Law firm in Delhi founded by Rohit Tandon. In total, Rs 13 crore worth of cash was found at Tandon’s law firm and residences in Delhi in December 2016. Interestingly, this video was taken last year and was reportedly posted by a journalist Shiv Sunny on his Twitter timeline on December 10, 2016, reports AltNews.

But major newshouses who were going all out on minister Shivakumar's raid, failed to verify the background of the video and claimed it to be their 'exclusive'. While it is being alleged that the IT officials have allegedly found Rs 300 crore worth undisclosed amount allegedly belonging to Shivakumar, the IT sleuths are yet to give a report on it.
